The Rawhide Mallet is a pretty formidable and usefull tool early in its career, they are very hard and hit with very little resistance. With use the Mallet will become slightly deformed and begin to soften, this can all be remedied by simply trimming the end of the mallet. Mallets are used to shaping or flattening metal without marking it, mallet heads are much softer than the metal. Rawhide mallet made from animal hide, head Diam 1.5" Used for a more gentle movement of metal around stakes or triblets. Used for Bending, forming, truing forms & gradual strtching Other sizes available
